SKY INTERNET
First things first: Sky Internet is a fast, award wining broadband service that is exclusively for Sky TV customers.
And Sky Internet offers three superb products if you live within the Sky Broadband network area, which currently covers over 70% of the U.K. population. If you live outside the Sky Broadband area, you might still be able to enjoy fast download speeds with Sky Broadband Connect.
Sky Internet offers you three basic broadband packages: Base; Mid; and, Max.
Broadband Base is free with Sky Talk and caters for download speeds of up to 2Mb. It has a 2GB per month usage allowance and includes a free wireless router (worth up to £50); free McAfee anti-virus security; and, 24/7 technical support and one-off fee activation fee for existing customers.
The next package, Broadband Mid, costs £5 a month with Sky Talk. It allows download speeds of up to 8Mb, depending on your location. Per month usage allowance is 40GB per month. The package also includes free McAfee anti-virus security; and, 24/7 technical support and one-off fee activation fee for existing customers.
The Broadband Max package comes in at £10 a month with Sky Talk. Download speeds are up to 16Mb, depending of course upon location. It allows truly unlimited usage allowance and lets you download loads of music and videos. The package also includes free McAfee anti-virus security; and, 24/7 technical support and one-off fee activation fee for existing customers.
Each Sky Internet package also comes with a number of Sky Email offerings - including ten sky.com email addresses - and plenty of tools.
Sky Internet is simple to use and easy to set-up. Sky provide advice on the set-up of your router and connection, via a step-by-step installation CD. And don't forget, if you have any problems, there is the 24/7 technical support, both online and by telephone.
And for those that have their broadband supplied by another supplier, then a switch-over could not be easier. And disruption is limited to up to two hours downtime on the day of switch-over.
Even if you are in a broadband contract with some time to go on the contract, then you can still register an interest with Sky and they will let you know what options you have.
And just in case you want further proof as to the good service offered by Sky Internet, they were overall winner in the BroadbandChoices.co.uk July 2008 customer satisfaction survey. This was compiled in conjunction with PointTopic Ltd's Broadband User Service. Sky Internet was also voted 'Best Deal For You' in the uSwitch Broadband Awards 2008.
So if you're after Broadband, then opt for Sky Internet.
